Kibera Oasis of Hope exists to rescue girls from trafficking and to educate children in the slums of Kenya.
Ministry #: 102-2029

Oasis of Hope orphanage (Kibera slums) Nairobi, Kenya, is a sanctuary for children rescued from childhood marriages and/or female genital mutilation as well as those affected by cattle rustling. It provides a loving and safe environment where children receive free education, learn about Jesus, and can just be kids again.

We began this calling from Anderson S.C. to the slums of Kibera in 2018 with our 4 children and 12 suitcases. My wife and I were on the care team at our local church and got involved with short term mission trips. What we saw happening in Kenya completely wrecked our hearts, and now we are across the world raising over 200 amazing children who have suffered things no child should ever have to endure. We are teaching them the Word of God and showing them the unconditional love from our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

At Oasis of Hope, we get many girls, some as young as 5, that have been through genital mutilation, rape, and marriage to an old man. When they come to us they are scared, untrusting, and broken. Our family is here to show the love of Jesus to these precious little souls and they are healing now. Apart from thechildren on campus, there are also about 300 that attend our kids’ church service every week from the slum beside us. We are just scratching the surface to what the Lord will do here.

In the future, we are planning to start a trauma center in the bush lands to rescue even more girls who are hostage to the horrific tribal practices. We want a place where they can run to if they need a safe haven and security.
