As a Missionary at Large, Fijoy Johnson has ministered in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, the Middle East, and India, teaching, preaching, and providing leadership development.
A third-generation ordained Bishop, Dr. Fijoy L. Johnson answered his call to ministry at the age of 19. He holds a Bachelor of Science (2002) and a Master of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry (2005) from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, as well as a Doctorate in Church Leadership (2019) from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Johnson currently serves as Director of the Intercultural Ministries Department for the Church of God, a historic appointment as he is the first person of Indian descent to serve in the International Offices. In addition, he is the Director of Special Projects at Lee University and the Lead Pastor of Chattanooga Cornerstone Church.
His personal mission statement reflects his heart for ministry: “On a mission to love God and love people. Giving room at the table for all races through discipleship, coaching, and mentoring. Meeting people where they are and encouraging them toward a lifelong, joyous relationship with Christ.”
He is married to Marie, and together they have two children. Dr. Johnson enjoys traveling and exploring diverse cuisines from around the world. He is also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns.
