Paul and Khin Shires

We serve in the Mindanao Region of Philippines, specifically in Davao city where we live and teach at Mindanao Bible Academy.  While we mentor the students outside of the classroom, we also hold free trainings for children’s ministry workers in various locations to encourage local churches in this area of ministry.  During the summer break, we also help organize and conduct the Vacation Bible School and support churches financially for weekly children’s outreaches.

I went on my first mission trip in 1998 to Davao Philippines. Ever since, I have been committed to do mission work as much as I can in different countries.  In 2008, I met my wife Khin who is originally from Myanmar but was serving in Philippines when we met. We married in 2009, and I moved to Philippines. We have one son, Joshua.

Seeing the sincerity and joy on the children’s faces at outreaches, kids crusades and Vacation Bible Schools is what keeps us going.  We are also proud to watch the Bible school students finish their coursework and continue in their calling. Training workers in the local churches for service in God’s kingdom is so rewarding.
