Enrique and Odaris De Jesus

While serving as Administrative Bishop of the New England Hispanic Region (USA), we also engage as short-term missionaries . In our trips, we are working as educators, evangelists, and mentors of emerging leaders in ministry and also in the development of specialized curriculum in our theological institutions in Latin America. We train and teach pastors, students, and leaders by shepherding them with advice and experiences obtained from the mission field. We offer orientation to new Latino missionaries on how to effectively operate in the field.

My wife and I have been married for over 34 years and have always been involved in various ministries.  My wife was born in Peru but was raised in Honduras, Colombia, Spain and Puerto Rico.  My in-laws were veteran missionaries, and their testimony inspired and confirmed our divine call. We have five children (four boys and one girl) and three wonderful granddaughters. We are quite an international family with three children born and raised in Spain, two born in Puerto Rico and Cleveland, TN, and raised in other countries.

When in Spain, we made friends of many people, but especially unbelievers. One was an atheist from a Spanish province where many terrorists are organized, but he was living in Madrid.  One day, after loaning a personal car to him, he wanted to repay the favor. I explained about the unconditional love of God. He insisted on doing something. Since he was a carpenter in a Spanish military base, he fixed all the doors of the new church building. Out of that time of ministry, several Muslims and Spaniards came to know Jesus as Savior.
