We are working to build a Christ-centered home for children in the heart of Senegal to provide a safe, loving environment for vulnerable children. This project is rooted in years of missionary service and a deep burden for the orphaned. The facility will meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs by offering education, healthcare, discipleship, and feeding programs for underprivileged children in the area. We aim to be a beacon of hope in a region with limited resources and great need.

This children’s home project was birthed out of a lifelong calling and decades of global missions experience. Richard Baker has served on five continents in humanitarian aid (30 natural disasters) and orphan care since 1993. He has had the privilege of assisting people who would have died if not for the life giving medical care or food and water provided, has rescued children from trafficking, and has been involved with and witnessed over 20 orphanages being completed under his ministry. Through the years, he has seen thousands of conversions throughout his ministry, including ministering in jails, prisons, and rehab centers.

This home is being built in memory of his late wife Cheryl whose passion for missions and orphans shaped their ministry. What began as a dream between two hearts for the forgotten is now becoming a reality in Senegal, one brick at a time. For this project, Richard is partnering with Wilson and Veronica Cruzado, the pastors of the church on the future home’s premises. They have faithfully served the people of Senegal since 2019. Wilson is the pastor of the church, and Veronica will be the children’s home director. Their passion for the people of Senegal brought them from their homes in Central America to fulfill the calling that God placed on their lives in Africa.
