Safe House - Jireh International Ministry
Latin America - Colombia
We live in a town near Bogotá, Colombia where we have shelters for high-risk orphan children including those who have been displaced by guerrilla warfare. We also have a school where we provide education; a shelter for women where we restore women who have been victims of human trafficking, prostitution, and violence; a place for counseling and protection for children; and support for migrant families.
I, Rosalba Pérez, was born into a dysfunctional home with many shortcomings. I met Jesus at age 18, and my whole family converted to the Lord. God called me to transform generations in a town in Colombia. I planted a church, and when I saw the need for children without education, we founded a school and a home to protect children and women. I believe that the gospel is the power of God that transforms generations, and where there is a church, there must be integral transformation and societal impact.
Our church here was the first Christian church to arrive in this town which was plagued with idolatry, alcohol abuse, and many other problems. During these years of ministry, God has transformed many families with His great love. The orphanage has transformed more than 500 children. The school has helped to educate ministers of the gospel.
