Bob and Karin McClure serve in Peru to rescue, restore stolen hope to, and rebuild the lives of children who have experienced the horrors of trafficking.

Ministry #: 102-9583

Bob and Karin McClure operate Maria’s Safe House which serves in the cities of Chiclayo and Lima in the country of Peru.  Our ministry serves the boys and girls aged 8-18 who have been rescued from human trafficking.  The children live at our campuses where we provide for all their needs: medical, educational, spiritual, athletic, etc.  We also provide food and hot coffee to the women being prostituted.

Our ministry includes an outreach program that allows us to share and educate the community through speaking in schools and churches. We have also been brought in to educate the staff of the social services and police.  We are restoring the old Church of God Seminary in Lima to provide a campus that will start housing 50 girls.  Once completed, it will house 200 girls and staff. This project includes restoring the church for children to have a place of worship. Each child will have the opportunity to enjoy a strong education as well as the opportunity to come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I left professional baseball as a chaplain with the Red Sox in 2012 after hearing God’s still small voice speak to my heart to provide a safe and loving environment for the children of Latin America. Now, we are sharing the safety, hope, and love they can have with us while they learn about the love and hope they can have through a Father who will never leave them and His Son who died for them.
