Mission Trip Policies<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/a><\/div>

Participants in Global Missions Training<\/strong> are expected to honor the following policies for the safety, unity, and effectiveness of the team, as well as to preserve the witness of Jesus Christ in every setting. These expectations apply from the time of departure until the return home.<\/p>\n

    1. Be punctual and fully present for all meetings, training, ministry events, and scheduled activities, both before and during the trip.<\/p>\n

    2. Do not go anywhere alone\u2014including travel, ministry, or free time. Always stay in groups of at least two or more. Your Team Leader must be informed of your whereabouts at all times.<\/p>\n

    3. Show respect to field hosts, nationals, teammates, and all people and property related to the mission. Conduct yourself with humility and cultural sensitivity.<\/p>\n

    4. Avoid any behavior that could damage the reputation or ministry of the team or host. Team Leaders and GMT staff reserve the right to address any such behavior.<\/p>\n

    5. No romantic relationships or pairing off of team members is allowed during the mission experience (excluding married couples). This also includes relationships with nationals.<\/p>\n

    6. The following are strictly prohibited: use of alcohol, illegal drugs, sexual activity, pornography, profanity, and fighting. Violations may result in immediate dismissal at the participant\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n

    7. Dancing should reflect modesty and cultural appropriateness and must be approved by the Team Leader or GMT staff if part of any team event.<\/p>\n

    8. Avoid inappropriate media consumption. Do not watch objectionable movies, shows, or listen to offensive music.<\/p>\n

    9. Do not enter the sleeping quarters of the opposite gender at any time unless married and sharing lodging.<\/p>\n

    10. Report any health concerns to the Team Leader or GMT staff immediately. No one should be left alone if sick. Those on medication must continue their prescribed treatment.<\/p>\n

    11. Dress modestly at all times.<\/p>\n

    • Female participants: Clothing must be modest. No crop tops, short shorts, tube tops, halters, or spaghetti straps. T-shirts and modest-length skirts\/shorts are encouraged.<\/li>\n
    • Male participants: Shirts must be worn at all times.<\/li>\n
    • All participants must change clothing when requested by a Team Leader.<\/li><\/p><\/ul>\n

      12. Do not share personal contact information (phone numbers, addresses, emails, or social media handles) with nationals or local contacts.<\/p>\n

      13. Do not give gifts or money (including Bibles, clothes, toys, etc.) to nationals without prior approval from your Team Leader or GMT leadership.<\/p>\n

      14. Do not make promises or future arrangements (returning to visit, sending money or packages, etc.) without the consent of Church of God World Missions.<\/p>\n

      15. You are expected to fully abide by the GMT Team Member Agreement and all related policies throughout your mission experience.<\/p><\/ol><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
