From time to time, our family has special needs that you may consider as a specific project for your family or your church.  While visiting local churches to share our vision and ministry, many pastors and individuals will ask us to share these special requests with them if we ever are in need.  We will try to post these needs on the web site so that our supporters will be informed of any urgent financial needs.

Our family is planning to return to Brazil in July of 2004.  As a part of returning to the field of labor after our furlough period in the States, we will have many additional expenses.  Our family will need approximately $ 5,500 for the airfares to return to Brazil.  We will also need to purchase transportation, which will cost between $ 7,000 to 10,000.  We will also need assistance in setting up our home again with necessary items like furniture, mattresses, and other household items.  These set-up expenses will cost around $ 3,000 even though we have our major appliances in storage there in Brazil.  These expenses will cause a heavy drain on our financial budget.  Any assistance in this regard will be especially appreciated.

Another additional expense that concerns us is the fact that we have one child in college (and two more on the way!).  Jessica has done very well in her studies at Lee University.  She has been able to obtain a partial tuition scholarship because of her high GPA, and she also receives a discount for being a missionary kid.  However, her college expenses are costing us around $ 7,000 a year.  This amount is also quite a drain on our World Missions account.  Anyone who has had a child in college know about the cost and the stress that parent's face.  If you would like to adopt a part of this expense as a church project, simply specify where you would like to designate your contribution.
